2 Cor 1 – Paul is defending himself against personal attacks.
- They are saying that Paul is not a man of his word.
- They are saying Paul is not an apostle.
- They are saying that he is a false teacher.
And looking intently at the council, Paul said, ?Brothers, I have lived my life before God in all good conscience up to this day.? (Acts 23:1 ESV)
So I always take pains to have a clear conscience toward both God and man. (Acts 24:16 ESV)
I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, (1 Corinthians 1:4 ESV)
The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. (1 Timothy 1:5 ESV)
